<p>In 2010 the DC government announced that public wireless internet was available on the National Mall. Visitors and residents can get online by logging into “DC Wifi” using wifi-enabled devices. The <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/52">Smithsonian Castle</a> Information Center, <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/427">National Gallery of Art</a>, <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/55">Museum of National History</a>, <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/48">Museum of American History</a>, <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/43">US Department of Agriculture</a>, <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/269">National Air and Space Museum</a>, and the <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/49">Museum of the American Indian</a> serve as hotspots for the network. Outdoor wifi is accessible from the <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/36">Washington Monument</a> (14<sup>th</sup> Street) and the <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/59">Capitol</a> (3<sup>rd</sup> Street) and between <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/311">Constitution</a> and <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/312">Independence Avenue</a>s. </p>
